Pavi's face mirrored Amber's, his eyes widening in shock at all the information his sister had somehow discerned simply from living with them over the past year. He kept silent as she came detail after detail closer to the truth, his eyes gradually turning down to face his plate as he tried not to listen to the girl. The fact that she knew was bad enough...but the fact that she was using it against him was what really shook up the older Largo.
If his mother were to find out about that...even Pavi didn't hate Luigi enough to wish for her to find out about what he'd done to his own brother's face. Even if it had been Luigi's doing, Pavi often felt just as much to blame for the incident as his brother. That night wasn't something he liked to remember...but now that it was being drawn out into the open, he found himself unable to shy away from the memory.
--- It was late. Pavi was bored. Bored of the Genterns company, for once, and bored of his own lonesome company, so he'd headed downstairs to see what his fratelli were up to. Or more specifically, his fratello. Pavi had known that Amber was gone doing who knows what, and Papa was working late, as usual. That left Luigi, who would no doubt provide some sort of entertainment for the lonely son of GeneCo. Whether it be one of their routine "sparing" matches over who was destined inheritor of the company, or a simple argument with the other, Pavi was sure he'd find a cure for his boredom soon enough by visiting his fratello. Little did he know that what he was to find would be far from an entertaining "cure." ---
"No..." Pavi murmured, attempting to stop the flashback by shaking his head. But it was upon him now, passing through his mind like a videotape. Thinking of the incident didn't normally incite such a vivid reaction from the man, but the idea of his mother somehow learning about it was enough to nearly put him into shock. His skin burned beneath his mask, a painful reminder to play along with his unfortunate memory, and Pavi winced painfully at the sensation. He gripped at the table's edge, preparing himself for the worst, which was yet to come.
--- "You worthless, rotting sack of shit!" Luigi screamed into Pavi's ear, though his words were practically lost when matched against Pavi's own screams of anguish. The older one's hand had a firm grasp on his dark hair, holding his little brother's face into the fireplace for several seconds. A thick stench was beginning to fill the room as the younger one's face began to sizzle from the flames. It reminded Luigi of burnt pork, and he held the other closer to the fire as the stench grew thicker and Pavi's screams grew louder. "Please, fratello!" Pavi sobbed, feeling as though he would retch from the blinding pain. Luigi only sneered, pushing the other's face into the embers at the bottom of the fire and taking in the sounds of his cries and begging. "Go ahead and cry, faggot! You gonna cry for me? Isn't that what you wanted?! CRY!" Luigi shouted, punching the other's side as Pavi's weeping began to escalate. "Mama! MAMA!" Pavi cried into the flames, unable to escape the pain of the fire as it began to eat away at his flesh. And at this, he began to feel Luigi's grip loosen. Suddenly, the older Largo yanked him back from the fire, tossing him back onto the carpet and kicking him harshly in the ribs several times. Pavi's eyes remained closed, his cries having ended as the darkness began to take over his senses, and he faintly heard his brother saying something to his crippled figure. Then suddenly, everything went black. ---
Suddenly, Pavi covered his face with his hands, closing his eyes and forcing himself to remain still. He fought the urge to get up and leave, knowing that it would upset his mother if he were not there, and attempted to remove the thoughts from his mind once more. However, try as he might, the memory echoed back and forth in his mind, forcing him to relive that night over and over again with every moment that passed.
"Nothing. I have-a nothing," Pavi muttered to himself at Vittoria's question. Slowly, he looked up again, avoiding his fratelli's gazes and staring straight ahead with a silent, emotionless expression. "You make-a your point, Vittoria. Can-a we please continue on with-a dinner, now?"

At the look on Pavi's face Vittoria felt a little guilty (an entirely new and uncomfortable sensation) it made her want to get out of her chair and wrap her arms around her older brother. But that wouldn't be a good idea for a few reasons for starters Pavi would probably flinch away from her after what she had just caused (and the kiss she had given him half an hour earlier). Plus showing empathy or compassion in front of them, even towards them would be seen as a weakness, something she could not afford to show at this stage.
"Si, I was-a only pointing out that-a threatening me isn't a good idea. And I-a will not bring it-a up again unless you-a give me a reason to." Vittoria said finishing off her water glancing at the thoroughly subdued Pavi through her lashes. The sight of Pavi so chastised and humiliated made her feel a small blush of desire across her cheeks. Mostly because she knew that no one else in the world could make him feel that way (except for maybe Luigi) and that excited her. She looked away quickly hoping none of them saw, it would embarrass her for them to discover he own little "secret". That she got much, much more than personal satisfaction in humiliating them and others. Especially at her age.

Before any of the other Largo children could comment on anything Vittoria could say or the fact that she was blushing, their mother came into the room. In her arms were the cake and the bottle of wine that Amber had chosen. "Luigi, could-a you open this for-a me?" She said setting the wine in front of her eldest. She placed the cake at the very end of the table not far from Vittoria.
She went over to her own seat at the head of the table and waited for the wine to be opened and poured. She reached over and took Pavi's hand, he looked worried to her for some reason. Completely unaware of what had just happened in the room when she was busily putting the finishing touches on the cake.
"Bambino," She said gently holding his hand running her thumb over his palm. "Why-a do you-a look so worried? It's Christmas you're-a with-a your family. Be-a little bit-a more happy if-a only for me."

Vittoria kept her eyes down on her lap as soon as she came in the room, she was pretty sure their mother had no clue about what her children had just been discussing. But just in case it was best to act innocent.
And she was sure that if she were to look at either or mother or Pavi she'd probally wince or possibly start to look (and feel) guilty. Which would only open up the flood gates to a whole bunch of problems and information that was best kept buried.

Pavi almost flinched at his mother's touch, looking up at her suddenly in surprise. He felt a sudden wave of guilt wash over him at the sight of her face and unknowing smile, but did his best to hide his inner thoughts, smiling back at his mother, albeit a bit uneasily.
"Ah...perdono, Mama," Pavi replied, putting his other hand over her own reassuringly. "Of-a course I'm-a happy. I'm-a just...not-a feeling to well. I must have-a caught something, that's all."
To demonstrate this, Pavi quickly retracted his hand, coughing gently into it and looking away from his mother now. He only hoped that his skills at lying were better now than they were when he was younger. Otherwise, he doubted she'd believe him for an instant.

"Oh that's-a shame, bambino." Lucretzia said frowning a bit and feeling Pavi's head. He did feel warm (though unknown to her he felt warm because he was nervous and blushing.) And truthfully had anyone else told Lucretzia such an obvious lie she would've known right away and called them on it.
But when it came to her children, Lucretzia was in complete and absolute denial. Mostly because she so desperatly wanted them to be a happy and semi-normal family that it was best to ignore the not so normal things they did and their strange behavior. Even when it was so obvious. "Hopefully you'll-a feel better tomorrow. I would-a hate that-a our first Christmas together in a long time would-a be when-a you're sick." She gently held onto Pavi's hand and smiled lovingly at him, just happy to be there with him more than anything else.

As Pavi and their mother spoke Luigi was focused on opening the wine as his mother had asked. It was a bit difficult for him as he wasn't entirely used to do something like this, usually some servant opened and poured the wine. Plus the added stress of Pavi's little breakdown and Vittoria's threat still hung over the table.
"Please don't do anything to ruin this!" He kept thinking to himself as he undid the cork (finally). Luigi set the bottle in the middle of the table waiting for one of his family members to make the next move.
And hopefully Pavi wouldn't get so drunk that he'd make a fool of himself or blab something he shouldn't. As he sometimes did when he had to much to drink.

"Mama?" Amber said quickly hoping to distract her away from Pavi hopefully in enough time for the man to compose himself. "Don't you think that now would be a good time for a toast now that Luigi's got the wine open?"
Amber reached across and practically yanked the bottle of wine out of Luigi's hands pouring Luigi half a glass, then Pavi and Lucretzia. She looked at Toria and wondered if her baby sister was even allowed to have alcohol. But Lucertzia nodded and Amber poured Vittoria a half glass of wine praying the wine wouldn't do anything to Vittoria. Like make her more amorous or vicious.

Pavi nodded quickly at his mother, forcing a smile and avoiding her gaze after a few moments. He had to calm down, and get his mind elsewhere; otherwise, he'd feel like shit for the rest of the evening and make his mother upset. And that was what he was trying his best to avoid. His own feelings could be pressed aside, if it meant that his mother was happy.
As Amber began pouring the wine, he barely resisted the urge to immediately grab his own glass. Getting drunk wouldn't be a good idea, even if it was the only way to truly calm him down at the moment. He'd just have to be careful with his actions, and try to ignore the uncomfortable memories that were pressing at the back of his mind. Hopefully, his mother wouldn't notice him ignoring her gaze...or the fact that he was trying very hard not to look anywhere near Luigi, a feat that wasn't easy considering the fact that their seats were beside one another.
I will make that little tramp wish she'd never opened her tattle-tale mouth, Pavi began to think bitterly to himself, his expression hardening a little at the thought.

"Well..." Lucretzia said luckily not realizing how quiet Pavi had become. She raised her glass. "To-a family, the-a only thing that-a you can-a count on." She began not realizing the irony of the words given the situation. "Through-a thick and-a thin, they-a will always be-a part of you. No matter where-a you are, or what-a you've done they'll-a always be-a part of who you are. For-a better or worse." She then took a sip from her glass and sat down.
"Would-a anyone like-a to add anything to-a that?" She asked pleasantly.

Both Luigi and Vittoria shook their heads no, as neither of them felt like speaking. And both feeling a stab of guilt at what had just happend. Vittoria for upsetting Pavi, as she did care for her brother deeply...in a deeply disturbing and incestious way. And Luigi for having the whole thing brought up in the first place.
Luigi hardly ever felt guilty about anything wrong he did, and would justify it as best he could in ways that only made sense to himself. But what he had done to Pavi...it made him hate himself. And Luigi didn't like that..at all. So it also made him hate Pavi a bit too. Which is why he lashed out at Pavi so frequently. Pavi, just by being around him, made the eldest Largo child feel a deep, deep shame.
A shame that could never, ever be fixed. And a shame that was felt for more than one reason.

"No I think you summed it up, Mama." Amber said taking a deep drink from her own glass trying very, very hard to ignore the fact that Vittoria was sitting so close to her. As well as the tension between all the Largo siblings at that moment.
Lucretzia smiled and sat down, sipping her wine and swallowing the sweetish wine. She reached across the table and took one of the dishes, the sword fish, and put it on her plate as well as the kale. She then passed it over to Amber, who did the same.

Pavi silently nodded to Lucretzia's toast, remaining quiet as he pressed his wine glass to his lips. He had to force himself not to drink the entire glass, only taking a small sip before setting it down again. He needed a clear head for the rest of the night, for both the obvious reason of keeping Mama happy...and to plot out his revenge.
Of course, Pavi wasn't a complete idiot. He might not have been the smartest Largo by any means, but he was rather conniving when he put his mind to it, outmatched only by Amber. He'd spent most of his childhood finding ways to learn secrets while going unnoticed(which didn't require much action on his part, as he was rather used to being ignored as well). And while Vittoria might exceed him in brains and deviousness, he had several things that she didn't, one of which being experience with siblings.
And he also knew the one thing that Vittoria wanted more than anything else, and a few things that were more obvious to him than she knew. For instance, the way she often blushed when met with any physical contact with him. Or the way she reacted similar to the way that both he and Luigi reacted when receiving abuse, or dishing it out. True, the last one was more of an assumption on Pavi's part, but he was fairly certain that he knew the girl better than she thought.
And as Amber passed him the plate, Pavi couldn't help but smirk a little, before passing it on to Luigi. Oh, he knew how he would make his little sorella pay...and even if she were to find out and return fire, he knew that what he had planned would be worth it, especially after what she had just pulled.

Amber took the plate and put several tiny portions on her plate. A bit of the sword fish and the kale salad, and the fried eel (which didn't seem at all appealing to Amber but she did it to be nice to her mother)
She took a bite of food and chewed it slowly to ensure that she would have something to do. Instead of just sitting there awkwardly trying not to think about the bomb Vittoira just dropped. Amber had a gut feeling that neither Pavi or Luigi were going to let that slide.
Especially Luigi, predictably he would do something like take his revenge by beating the girl up or scaring her half to death. Pavi though...he was slyer. She wondered if she should help the girl defend herself.
It would be better to have someone like her as an ally than an enemy. That was for certain.

Vittoria put several of the dishes on her plate and began eating as if nothing had happened. If you wanted someone to believe that something wasn't wrong you had to act like nothing was wrong. So she began eating her food as she normally would.
Vittoria took a sip of the wine, and tried not to wince. She wasn't used to the way alcohol tasted. Even if it did give her a nice warm feeling in her stomache. As she ate she did notice that her siblings would occassionally give her a side glance and then their eyes would go back to their plates the moment they noticed her watching them.
Particualrly Luigi and Pavi. Not that she blamed the two of them, had it been her in either of their shoes she would be doing the same and feeling the same. It wasn't so much as she wanted to hurt them (much) she just wanted to make sure that they understood who they were dealing with. She'd make up to them later. If they'd let her that is.
