((December 24-25. Closed to the Largo family.))
Lucretzia was speeding around the kitchen, cooking several dishes at once. This Christmas had to be perfect, it was her first with all her children in almost two decades. She was going to try and make their meal as traditonal as possible. Lucretzia even e-mailed her mother in Italy for several of the "family" variations on several dishes.
One of which she was cooking right at that moment. Fried eel smothered in a butter and sage sauce. The eel had been skinned, gutted, rubbed in garlic, sage, and sea salt and now was frying in a very large pan on the stove in olive oil. In another large pot the clams italiano soup was boiling and was moments away from being finished. In the oven a pan of calamari was simmering in alfredo sauce and white wine along side a pan of lobster tails. There was still so much to do, and she hadn't even started on the kale salade!
Oh and the gifts! She had sent several of the assisgents to go out pick up her childrens gifts (gift wrapped of course). Lucretzia had agonized what to get each of her children, spending as much time with each of them as she could to get hints or ideas of what would be perfect for each of them.

Pavi, meanwhile, was impatiently fretting in front of his mirror, attempting to choose the perfect outfit for the evening. So far, he'd settled upon a black dress shirt with a high collar, a dark red vest with small designs of holly leaves covering the front, and black and olive-green striped slacks. All that was left to decide upon was a tie...and that in itself was a rather difficult decision to make. At the moment, he was caught between a plaid bow tie(which showed off his more playful, yet professional side), or a standard gold tie(which showed his classier, yet slightly prideful side).
Normally, he wouldn't bother spending so much time planning out his attire for the evening. But, then again, over the past several years the only people Pavi bothered celebrating Christmas with were Amber and Luigi, and sometimes Papa, if the late tycoon hadn't been too busy to bother with them that year. Pavi rolled his eyes at these Christmas memories, thinking back to several awkward gift exchanges and silent meals that had been served on this day of all days in the past.
But this year, that had all changed. This year, their mother was with them to celebrate, which meant that maybe, just maybe, they could have an actual, normal family Christmas. Well...normal for the Largos, anyway. And even with the new addition of Vittoria, Pavi was certain that this would be a date worth remembering.
Gifts for his siblings had been easy enough to shop for. For Amber, a new pair of burgundy stiletto heels, to replace the pair he'd "lost" earlier that year that he knew she'd been missing. For Luigi, ascots. Festive ones, of course, though he doubted the older Largo would be pleased with whatever Pavi decided to give him, as he'd always been. And for Vittoria, Pavi had finally decided upon a gold heart-shaped locket that had made him think of her...though he wasn't quite sure why.
Mama had been a bit harder to shop for, however. Pavi remembered nearly everything about the woman, from the name of the perfume she wore to the name of the book she'd read to him every night when he was a child....but for the life of him, he couldn't think of any suitable gift to give the woman. It had been when he had at last given up on buying her something and had looked dismally into his hand mirror for an answer that he'd found one.
"I suppose-a the bow will-a have to do," Pavi at last sighed, nimbly twisting the plaid fabric into a pointed design around his neck. Smoothing down his hair and the corners of his mask as he looked into his bedroom mirror, Pavi at last took a deep breath, forced a smile, and headed out the door, presents wrapped and in hand, and a cute little Santa hat resting merrily on his head.
This Christmas would be one to remember. He could just feel it.

Amber was in the living room helping put the finishing touches on the tree. It was a very large tree, over seven feet tall and almost two feet wide. Usually one of the Geneterns would've taken out the ornaments and decorated it days before Christmas, using a careful design scheme. Making sure all the ornaments matched and that the ornaments were evenly spread out, so that the Largo family Christmas tree looked very put together and professionally done.
But not this year, it felt somehow wrong to have anyone other than a family member decorate the tree, mostly because it would be the first "family" Christmas they had all had in a long time. Usually Christmas was a lonely affair in the Largo household, with just her and her brothers exchanging a few gifts and their father usually working or out on some charity event. And the few Christmas' they had all spent together had been very, very tense.
Each of the Largo siblings always felt like their father was judging every little thing they did and that no matter what they did it was just never enough. Made worse was the fact that both her brothers always seemed to be competing for their fathers attention and affection and would constantly try and one up each other with bigger and better gifts each year. That's what Amber loved the most about their mother, she loved them each very, very much no matter what bad things they did or had done. (Or rather the things they let their mother find out about.)
The eldest daughter of the Largo household had made the servants find the decorations their mother had used before her dissaperance. Ceramic globes intercately decorated with pictures of birds, flowers, stars, and geometric designs in all types of colors. As well as hand blown glass snow flakes and angels, and on the very top of the tree was a large golden Bethlahem star tree topper covered in crystals so that it sparkled where ever the light hit it.
Amber took a step back and admired her work, it looked good she thought. And she hoped Mama would agree, as she and Vittoria had take care of the decorations as their mother prepared a holiday feast for the family. Amber's gifts to her family were already wrapped up with name tags on them, and put underneath the tree.
For Luigi she had bought a gold and diamond, wrist watch with a golden watch chain, Pavi was fairly easy to shop for she got him several rings with large gemstones on them that matched his eyes and favorite outfits. For Vittoria Amber got her a diamond lilac amythest earrings in a teardrop shape. She had noticed her little sister seemed to like the color purple the most, and would wear earrings the most when it came to jewlery.
Her mother was the most difficult to shop for, as she didn't have many memories of the woman. She had almost asked Luigi or Pavi for help until she realized the one thing she was sure her mother loved just as much as her children, then it became very obvious what to get her mother.

Vittoria meanwhile was in the dining room, setting up the table for dinner. Putting the white linen on the table and the gold and red runner, as well as the gold Christmas tapers in the crystal candle holders and the white poinsettias center piece.
The youngest Largo had dressed up tonight as well, choosing to wear a lacy white strapless dress that had a sweetheart neckline and a slightly ruffled skirt that stopped just bellow her knees. Around her waist was a white gold ribbon that tied in a bow in the back, the edges decorated with white sparkly snowflakes, which stockings and shoes. The only jewelry she wore were a pair of pearl earrings and a matching bracelet.
Vittoria looked like the very picture of innocence in that dress, despite her severe personality and almost psychotic intelligence. And the changes her body had under gone in the past year. Her waist, hips, and legs growing more shapely. Her height and bust had increased to the point where she could no longer fit in her older clothing and had to re-order her school uniform. Vittoria looked less like the girl she had been when she arrived in the Largo household, and more like the woman she would become.
Her gifts were underneath the tree as well, alongside Amber's. Vittoria had spent a lot of time trying to figure out the perfect gifts for her brothers and sister. She had only spent nearly a year with them, and wasn't quite sure what to get them.
For Pavi she had decided on giving him family heirloom from their mothers side of the family. A gold gilt pewter oval hand mirror in an art noveau style with water lilies and mermaids on the handle and back and small pearls around the mirror frame. Vittoria never used it so she figured she'd give it to the child who would, as she had seen her brother looking at himself in the mirror countless times. Also because it had once been their mother's, grandmother's, great grandmother's, and great-great grandmother's she knew Pavi would take very good care of it.
Amber was a bit more difficult to shop for as it seemed she already owned everything imaginable. Vittoria was going to get her a pair of gold and cream colored boots...only to see Amber wearing them the very next day. After a very long time agonizing Vittoria had settled on designing a one of a kind perfume for her older sister. Something smokey and sweet, containing hints of vanilla, white orchid, sandal wood and of course plenty of amber. It was in bright pink and gold venetian glass bottle, christening it Amber's Sweets.
Luigi was a bit more difficult, as he seemed to hate absolutely everything. Or mostly everything, he liked coffee, knives, and their mother. And that was about it. She then decided on something that would remind him of their mother, she had called her Nonna up and asked if she still had a certain picture of a new born Luigi being held in their Mama's arms. It had been sent from Italy to the Largo household in under a week and Vittoria had bought a special crystal and gold frame for it.
Their mother was a bit easier to shop for as she had spent the most time with her compared to the other Largo siblings. But that didn't mean she wanted to make it any less special, since it was their first Christmas together as a family she had to get her Mama something that would remind her of this day for years to come.
Vittoria put the finishing touches on the table and moved on the the walls. Putting up wreaths up on the walls, colors of Christmas and of the Italian flag. Very fitting for their traditional Italian Christmas dinner. Already she could smell the food that their mother was preparing for them, and she felt rather excited thinking about sharing her first (of hopefully many) Christmas dinners with her famiglia.

Luigi walked into the family room with a armful of gifts. Usually he wouldn't even give a damn about the holidays, mostly because their past Christmas's had been so lonely if not down right sad. But it was different with Mama around, it felt more loving, festive, and like a Christmas should feel like.
Which is why Luigi was putting so much of himself in everything he did tonight and tomorrow. From what he was wearing, a dark red suit with white pinstripes and a matching white ascot with a bright red ruby pin in the middle of it as well as white gloves. To the gifts he had gotten his family.
He would usually get Pavi some kind of gag gift, something to embarrass and humiliate his little brother. But since he doubted their Mama would like that at all, so Luigi had to put some actual thought and effort into Pavi's gift. He decided on gold and diamond cuff links in his initials. It would be the first "nice" gift he had given his brother in years if not decades.
He got Amber a gold plated purse with a large A in diamonds and other gemstones with a matching compact. Vittoria was more difficult, he had spent very little time with he over the past year. Mostly because she scared him by either beating on him or by flirting with him out right and making very sexual and very flirty remarks at him. And since he didn't trust himself to either not kill or not give into her demands he stayed as far away from her as much a possible and if he couldn't avoid her then he made sure that their mother was around to protect him.
So that left him with a quandary, what to give someone like her a gift without making it seem like he was at all interested in her that way. Finally he settled on a book. Or rather several hard back antique books. Classics like Dante's Inferno, Blake's Songs of Innocence and Experience, and a collection of stories by Poe and King.
The gift for his mother had been the easiest, because he was the eldest he had the most memories of her and what she liked to do the most. Which is why he had chosen hers first. Luigi carefully laid the presents down and sat on the couch, waiting for supper to start or for their mother to call him in case he was needed for anything at all.

As the Largo children were putting their gifts underneath the tree and getting ready for dinner Mama Largo was placing the cooked foods into serving platters as well as starting on the next dish. Spiniach raviloi stuffed with ricotta served in crab meat sauce.
She started with the raviloi, rolling out the spinach dough till it was nice an thin then stuffing it with the riccota and placing it in a pot of boiling water. The crab sauce was a bit easier to make, she sauted onions, shallots and crab meat. Once it was finished sauteing Lucretzia added a sweet congac, flambeing the meat until it was golden brown. Once the flame simmered down she added a thick cream and chives stirring it quickly. Then she took the ravioli out of the water, making sure that the pieces were fully cooked and not coming apart. She placed the cooked ravioli in a serving dish and poured the sauce on it.
"Mrs. Largo?" One of the servants asked poking their head through the back door of the kitchen. Behind him were two more servants carrying boxes of wrapped gifts. "We got the gifts you requested. Where would you like to put them."
"Put all of-a the-a gifts under the-a tree." She said, "Except Pavi's his goes in-a my room for-a now. And please when-a you are-a taking it make a sure he-a does not see it at all! I want it to-a be a big suprise for-a him."
She smiled recalling the warm feeling she got when she realized the gift to give him, and how it had been something he had wanted since he was a little boy. Lucretzia couldn't wait till tomorrow so that she could give Pavi his gift, it was something she was sure that Rotti would never have thought of or let him have. Something that only someone who really knew him would've thought of.
For her other children, Lucretzia gave them each something she had made. A lace jacket for Amber with roses embrodered on it,w with a matching set of gloves. A dark blue scarf for Luigi, also with matching gloves of dark blue leather. And a short sleeved lilac colored chiffon and lace lolita style dress for Vittoria. And just make sure Pavi didn't feel left out on a home made gift, she made him a gold silk scarf with black fringe on the bottom.

Luigi walked into the dining room after he was finished re-arranging the gifts under the tree. (He wanted Mama to open his first, so he put it where it could be seen the easiest.) He hoped that she would like his the best, and that if she liked his gift the best that meant that she loved him more than his three younger siblings.
He was lost in thought imagining how happy his Mama would be when she saw how considerate he was of her, that he didn't even notice that Vittoria was in the room hanging up red and white ribbons on the wall.
"Buon Natale, Luigi." Vittoria said smiling and stepping off a ladder. The teenager had been acting very...strangely towards Luigi over the past few months. Very affectionate, and almost flirty when they were alone. There had been a few times that Luigi had to outright threaten her to get her off of him, which unfortunately for Luigi almost seemed to make Toria want to be around him more.
"Buon Natale." Luigi said uncertainly, trying not to look or sound nervous. He glanced her up and down, noting that she seemed older than her fifteen years. She was more developed for girls her age for one thing.... Luigi mentally slapped himself for thinking that on today of all days! "Luigi..." Vittoria said stepping a bit closer, he took a step back unconsciously. She was giving him that little smile she'd give him before she did something that usually left him humiliated or embarrassed. "Could-a you help me-a hang somethings up, I'm-a afraid that-a the ladder will-a fall down if-a I do it my self."
"Get a servant to do it!" Luigi said quickly. Vittoria shrugged her bare shoulders sadly. "Oh I-a would, but-a Mama gave the servants the-a night off. It being Christmas Eve and all. Please Luigi, I-a really want the-a room to look nice for-a our first Christmas together, especially for Mama."
And she had to play the Mom card, knowing that Luigi would do whatever it took to make this Christmas perfect and special for his mother. Luigi rolled his eyes and let out a large sigh of defeat. "Alright, I'll do it." "Perfecto!" Vittoria said with a small smile. She grabbed the step ladder and handed it to him. "Just-a make sure it-a stays steady, I-a need to get on the-a very top to hang the-a ribbon up on the-a door frame." Vittoria grabbed a long strand of Red, green, white, and gold bow and ribbon as well as a hand full of white holly. She stepped up onto the ladder as Luigi held onto it tightly as she carefully stepped up onto the ladder.
Vittoria's thighs were level with Luigi's face, and the elder Largo could feel himself growing uncomfortably hot as his little sisters skirt rose and swayed with her movements revealing more of her legs. He quickly snapped his head down to keep from getting a look at her panties, just thinking about it made Luigi even more uncomfortable than before.
"Grazie, Luigi." Vittoria said taking a step down so that her face was level with his. And before he could say anything Vittoria's hands found their way around his ascot and pulled him roughly into a kiss, her tongue worming it's way into his mouth and her other hand holding onto his hair. The kiss didn't last very long as Luigi pushed Vittoria off him, roughly. The girl almost fell before grabbing onto the ladder.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" He demanded wiping Vittoria's pink tinted flavored lip balm off with the back of his hand in disgust, he could still taste it. Candied violets, vanilla and a hint of coco. He knew if he ever smelled or tasted it again on another woman he'd instantly have to suppress a shudder. "It's Christmas! You could at least pretend not to be so....so....creepy!" Luigi sputtered trying to find the right word in his rage.
Vittoria giggled, mostly at how flustered Luigi had come at her simple touch. She reached out again and adjusted his ascot, giggling again as he flinched at her touch.
"You're-a right, fratello." She said looking him in the eyes and batting her dark lashes as him. "And it's a Christmas tradition to-a kiss under the-a mistletoe." She smiled and pointed at the bundle she had placed over the doorway. "And-a we are-a trying to-a make this as traditional as-a possible, si?"
"I..You..." Luigi sputtered, slowly realizing what had just happened. "You fucking tricked me you little bitch!" "Careful fratello," Vittoria said hopping off the ladder and reapplying her lip balm. "We-a wouldn't want Mama to-a hear you using that-a kind of language towards your-a sorella, especially on today of-a all days!"
She turned then and smiled. Luigi turned then fuming walking as quickly away from her as possible before he did or said something that he would regret later. Dammit why did she have to be so...attracted to him? And so devious to boot?

As Pavi headed down the stairs, he happened upon a few servants, each with their arms full of gifts. The younger Largo opened his mouth to ask if any of them needed help, as they'd apparently been sent by his mother, but before he could get the words out, they all seemed to disperse the moment they'd seen him. Pavi raised an eyebrow, a bit confused by their behavior, but at last gave a shrug. They'd reminded him of the gifts he was carrying at the moment, and how he needed to get them downstairs, so he continued on down the stairs without another thought.
"We wouldn't want Mama to-a hear you using that-a kind of language towards your-a sorella, especially on today of-a all days!"
Pavi gave a silent groan as he approached the doorway to the dining room, upon hearing Vittoria's teasing voice within. And judging by what she'd said, this meant that either Amber or Luigi were there as well. And if Vittoria was in the room with one of them...alone...then there was no telling just what Pavi was going to be walking in on.
"Using-a what kind of-a language, Toria?" Pavi questioned with a sigh as he walked in, the boxes in his arms covering his face as he walked in. Peering around the small pile, Pavi caught sight of Luigi beginning to walk irritably away, while Vittoria stood over by a ladder...and a sprig of mistletoe above. It didn't take much to guess what had happened, and Pavi couldn't help but make a bit of a face at the realization.
"I hope-a the two of you are-a getting along," Pavi remarked, setting the gifts under the tree with another sigh. Relieved of his burden for the moment, Pavi turned, putting on a small, teasing smile as he looked at the two of his siblings. "Because-a you know, if-a you misbehave so close-a to Natale, Santa will not-a come see you!" He teased, wagging his finger in a mock-stern gesture.

"Well its-a good thing we're Italiano then." Vittoria teased back, stepping closer to her other brother and helping him rearrange his gifts on the floor. "Santa Clause doesn't vist Italian children, Befana the-a Christmas Witch-a does. But-a I suppose since you were-a raised in-a America."
She flipped her hair back a little and gave him a small coquitish pout. "And-a you don't-a need to worry, Pavi. Befana even visits the naughty boys and girls. Which-" She gave him a teasing look and smile "You-a already know-a we are."

Lucretzia finished up the last fish dish, grilled scallions and clams kabobs as well as the kale salad. Now on to the desserts, she already had the dough for the panettone fixed from the night before, so all there was to do was to bake it for about forty five minutes. Then of course there was the cake baking in one of the large ovens that still needed decorating.
She got out the homemade coffee liquor frosting and the chocolate filling. Lucretzia hurried over and got the cake out, setting it down to cool for several minutes as she placed the kebabs on their serving platter. Then she got to work on the cake.
She cut the large cake into three layers and spread the filling all over one layer of cake, letting the liqueur soak into it before putting frosting on it, then she took the second layer put frosting on it, and finally taking the last layer and pouring the last of the filling on it. Then she frosted it, making sure that the finish was smooth. For decorations she had made white chocolate (both dyed and white) poinsettia's that were in the freezer. Carefully Lucretzia placed the chocolate flowers on the cake till the entire top of the cake was covered in them. On the side she patted on white chocolate powder and crushed almonds.
She then carefully slid the cake on the serving tray, pleased with her work. "There, finally done!" She stepped back and observed the Christmas feast she had prepared for her own family with her own two hands. She felt very happy and pleased with herself. Lucretzia then hurried up stairs to change into her dress and get herself ready for dinner.
Tonight she would be wearing a dark green long sleeved satin gown with a white pearl trimming the neckline and sleeves. It wasn't showy but very elegant. She had the front part of her hair pinned back with a mother of pearl comb carved into the shape of a white rose.
Before heading out the door Lucretzia paused in front of the mirror to apply a fresh coat of dark red lipstick and her favorite fragrance. A mixture of white rose, jasmine, lily, vanilla and musk. She quickly returned the kitchen and began placing the foods in a oven turned very, very low to keep the foods fresh and warm. Now to choose a wine, perhaps she should have Amber choose since she was technically the "head" of the family.
"Amber," She called not realizing what was going on between her children a few rooms away (if she had she'd be very, very upset and crying uncontolably) "would-a you be a dear and help me-a choose a wine for-a supper. I don't-a have any idea what-a is here, could-a you help me. I want-a it to be special for-a tonight."

Luigi sneered at his brothers teasing, and usually would've punched his brother just because. But for starters their mother wasn't to far away and Vittoria was only three feet away from him. And it was already creepy enough that she was enamored with him, he didn't think he could stand for her to be furious with him either.
And he could still taste her on his mouth, he had to get out of here and scrub the fuck out of his mouth with all the listerine, toothpaste, and baking soda he could find. And even then he doubted he'd be able to get the feeling of Toria's mouth and tongue on his.
Unconciously he was rubbing him mouth back and forth trying to keep himself from gagging. Then he caught the almost flirty look his little sister was giving him. "Shut the fuck up!" He snapped at her. "Or I swear the moment Mama's out of the house I will bury you alive!"

Pavi felt his face warm slightly beneath his mask at Toria's "naughty" remark, a rather unusual sensation for the older Largo. To distract himself from whatever thoughts seemed to be springing up from such talk, Pavi cleared his throat, reaching up to readjust the Santa hat on top of his head. If someone else had made the remark, say Amber or even Luigi, Pavi would have laughed and probably made one back; but considering that it was his flirtatious, psychotic, underage sister making the remark to him, Pavi felt a bit...uncomfortable. As he usually did around Vittoria.
As Luigi snapped at the younger girl unexpectedly, Pavi raised an eyebrow, both at the remark and the way that his older brother was almost rhythmically wiping his mouth. Glancing above them and noticing the mistletoe once more, his brain suddenly clicked, and he couldn't help but smirk. While he could certainly understand his brother's discomfort, seeing Luigi so flustered was more than a bit amusing to himself.
"Well, whoever it is-a that visits us on Christmas, I'm-a pretty sure they won't be visiting Luigi, sorellina. He'd-a probably scare-a them off," Pavi snickered. Hesitating a moment, Pavi suddenly happened upon an idea, which he was a bit reluctant to try, but very curious about. Perhaps, if he were to tease the girl right back in the same way she teased all of them, she'd either be satisfied enough to leave them be, or bothered in the same way that they were.
Deciding to risk it, Pavi smirked again, bending down to plant a quick peck on Toria's cheek, acting as though he were completely comfortable while doing so. "Don't-a stand so close to the mistletoe, Tori..." he teased, pretending as though he hadn't the faintest idea of what must of happened before he entered the room. "Next-a time someone like-a Luigi will-a be standing beside-a you."

Vittoria was shocked when Pavi kissed her cheek, but she was pleased none the less. Her heart beat increased at this unusual display of affection (usually Pavi was afraid to even brush up against her) so this was a very pleasant surprise.
"Is Pavi starting to be attracted to me as I am to him?" She wondered ducking her head down to hide her blush. The younger Largo moved a bit closer to her older brother glancing up at him shyly hoping he'd kiss her once more.
"He-a already has," Vittoria said casually completely ignoring the fact that Luigi was right behind her, now that her preferred brother was showing her attention and affection. "But-a I think I prefer you-a more fratellone." She got on her tip toes then and chastely pressed her lips to the lips of Pavi's mask.

Amber meanwhile was in the wine cellar several floors down trying to choose the right wine for their dinner, but had she been in the same room as her siblings Amber would've found it hilarious. That is until Vittoria turned her amorous attentions on her...
But right now she was trying to choose the correct white wine. She wanted something sweet, but not to sweet, vintage obviously and Italian. Amber had sampled most of the wines, and unlike Pavi and Luigi who just drank to get drunk Amber appreciated wine.
"I think this one will do." Amber said taking out a very large bottle and offering it to her mother. "Abbazia di Novacella Pinot Grigio 2007, grown in Alto Adige, Italy. It has a nice spicy apple and vanilla flavor without the sweetness being over powering. And maybe a 2004 Castello del Poggio Moscato d'Asti champagne for desert?" She took out another bottle, this one unopened. "Chilled of course."

"That-a is a good idea, gattino." Lucretzia said taking the wine bottle from Amber, happy to have this moment alone with her. Amber was usually busy with business and her personal life, and unfortunately shirked her family responsibilities, her oldest daughter was very much like Rotti in that respect. And hopefully Lucretzia could convince to spend a little bit more time with herself and her siblings.
"Carmella," Lucretzia said not using Amber's 'preferred' name, instead calling her the name she herself had given her. "I'm so happy to-a finally have-a this Christmas with-a you. If-a I had one-a wish, it would-a been to have all of you in my life. So-a we could-a be a real family." She paused for a second looking down nervously. "And-a hopefully I can-a help us become-a family now, I think I would-a like that-a more than-a any gift."
