As they made their way out of the Opera's exit, Pavi held tightly to his mother, as though in fear of losing her again. At her question, he quickly shook his head as he pulled her along, at last reaching the limo and helping her inside.
"No one could-a hate you, Mama," he smiled softly, climbing in himself. As he got settled in his seat, it suddenly hit him what he'd been saying to her before she'd revealed her identity to him, and his face suddenly flushed a bright pink, hidden by the cover of his mask.
"Oh mio dio," he breathed, putting a hand to his forehead. Slowly turning to face his mother, he said sheepishly, "Ah, I'm-a...sorry for-a....how I behaved before." I knew I was sick...but not sick enough to flirt with my own mother!

"That's-a what you were doing?." Lucretzia said wide eyed embarassed by what her sons intentions were when they had first met. She waved a hand in a dismissive gesture. "Non, non. it's-a alright, you did not know who-a I was at that-a time." She sat back in the limo. She looked at her son, fixating on his fake face, and the obvious scars underneath them. "Did-a your father give you those-a scars?"

Pavi looked away, too embarrassed to turn back towards his mother. He could feel her stare on his face, however, and at her question, he nearly jumped. Slowly turning his gaze back towards the woman beside him, a cautious, dark look in his eyes, he replied slowly, "No, no...Papa did not-a do this to me..."
Fingering the edges of his mask, he considered removing it momentarily, but not wanting to upset his mother, he merely answered, "It was-a an accident...it's-a not as bad as it-a looks, don't-a worry." Okay, so that was a lie. And he didn't even know why he was lying, considering the fact that all it did was save Luigi's ass. Maybe it was to keep from upsetting his mother...he didn't know. Whatever the reason, he was keeping quiet about it for now, unless she asked further.

Lucretzia moved over to the seat next to Pavi, and hugged him tightly. Hoping to make him feel better, she could tell it was a painful experiance for him. She buried her head in his neck and held him, then she looked up at him tears in her eyes. "Mi dispiace, il mio bambino. Per lasciare voi ... io non volevo ..." She was quite. "Everything I did, I did for-a the sake of-a my children."

Pavi felt a small tear well up inside him as his mother held onto him, and pulled her closer. At her words, he allowed the tears to fall from his eyes, and nodded understandingly. He didn't know why his mother had had to leave...but he was sure she had a reasonable explanation, and he would probably believe anything at this point.
"It's-a okay, mama," he whispered, holding her closely. Thinking over what she'd said before, Pavi wiped his eyes, then looked back at her carefully. "Mama...what did-a Papa make you do? Why did-a you have to leave us?"

Lucretzia wipped her eyes. She breathed a large breath to allow herself to focus and better explain why she had left them all. "Your father....he wanted me to-a leave. So he could-a be with this girl that he had-a fallen for. Marni. He wanted to get-a divorce, I said no. Then later he-a came to me and told me that-a divorce would be bad publicty for himself and-a the company. So instead he told me to-a fake my death, and if I didn't.....
She paused and started crying again, her hand covering her mouth to lessed the sobs. "He would-a have the three of you killed and make it look like an accident. And there would-a be no one to stop him."

Pavi's eyes widened, the youngest Largo child going numb with shock as Lucretzia explained herself. His father....had forced her to leave them, all so he could be with Marni? And his mother...she'd given up everything, all to protect them?
"Papa would have..." Pavi shook his head in disbelief. He'd never cared much for his father...but he'd never imagined this out of Rotti. He pulled his mother into his arms again, wiping her tears away. "Mama, do not-a cry...you are here now, that's all that-a matters. And papa is-a gone forever."

Lucretzia allowed herself to be held by her son, finding sostice in his closeness. She buried her face into his chest and breathed deeply.
"All those years the-a only thing that kept me going was-a the thought of him dying so I could-a see you all again one day. I did try and contact you, all of you, a few times. And I-a bought several bits of-a memoribilia. Some of your hair, one of Luigi's ties, a dress of Carmella's. Just so i could remind-a myself that you were all alive and would stay alive so long as I-a played along." She wiped her eyes again.
"I swear I will make up for all the years I-a wasn't there. I'll do all the things I thought-a about doing with all of you. Cooking you meals, nursing you when you get-a a fever, taking you all to go see-a your Nonna and Nonno."

Pavi smiled, shaking his head slightly at the woman's suggestions. He hadn't seen in his Nonna and Nonno in several years, but not wanting to take away from what his mother was trying to say, Pavi only held her closer.
"That sounds-a wonderful, Mama," Pavi whispered, kissing the top of his mother's head lovingly. "Amber and Luigi will-a be so happy to see you...I, uh, hope you didn't learn-a everything about us from-a the tabloids," Pavi added, giving a sheepish smile. If that was the case...then there was no telling what all she had heard.

"I-a heard a few things. None of them-a good." Lucretzia said with a small furrowed brow. She didn't want to believe what the tabloids said about her children but all in all there was to much proof to say otherwise. "And it's all your fathers fault. If I had been there to be a mother to all of you, none of this-a would've happened." She glanced at Pavi then with a small frown. "Is all what I-a read true about you and your siblings? Your brothers rage....your sister being a scalpelslut....you're, face stealing and raping?"

Pavi bit his lip, looking away shamefully. He wasn't sure how exactly to answer that question; the tabloids did come up with some pretty outrageous stories...but unfortunately, in terms of the Largo children, little needed to be exaggerated to sound incredulous.
"It's...it's-a true," Pavi sighed, looking down at his lap. "All of it." Not sure what else to say, Pavi turned to look out the window, not feeling as though he could respectfully meet his mother's eyes.

Lucretzia looked very very sad at that. She knew it to be true, but had hoped that the media had been demonizing her childrens behavior. "Pavichie...you know that-a I love you, all of you. But this-a type of behavior has to-a stop, it breaks your Mama's heart to-a pieces." She pulled him into a hug so that his head was reasting against her chest, she kissed the top of his head. "Voglia Dio mio perdono figli, e me la pazienza di metterli sulla strada giusta." She prayed through her tears and kisses.

Pavi let his mother kiss him, resisting the urge to cry again at her prayer. He couldn't make any promises to her request, but he could at least act as though he were willing to comply for now. He couldn't stop stealing faces, however, no matter what his mother said. He needed them to cover his own, to simply go out in public.
The limo slowly pulled into GeneCo industries, parking farther inside a secluded lot. Straightening up, Pavi took his mother's hand, smiling at her. "Shall-a we go inside, Mama?"

"What the hell Pavi?!" Amber shouted at her brother and long lost mother as she walked out of Geneco's front doors. A group of body guards with guns surrounding her incase this strange woman tried to attack her.
She had seen the live news cast on her news feed, and was floored by the womans bombastic lies and her younger brothers stupidity. She found it ludacris that her mother could just turn up like that. Conventiately not that long after her fathers death. And Pavi's reaction to the woman was disgusting.
True he was the youngest, and didn't have that many memories of the woman but still you would think that he would use his brain and common sense in a situation like this. "I don't know who the fuck this is, but she is not our mother! I was there at the funeral it was her body in that casket!" She pointed at Lucretzia "This woman is an imposter and liar and she'll pay for her lies!"

Pavi's face fell at his sister's entrance. Her accusations both surprised and angered him. How could she think he'd be so stupid as to just assume this woman was telling the truth without basic proof?
"Sister, please! I am-a no fool! She has-a proof, believe me! Do you think I would just let-a some woman into our house before finding that out?" Pavi shouted back, after climbing out of the car. For a moment, he stopped to wonder if maybe he had been too rash...but then remembered what his mother had told him as proof. Only she could have known that.
"Just listen to her!" Pavi pleaded, motioning to the woman beside him.
