Pavi took the pen, casually setting to work signing the dotted line carefully It really surprised him that his sister hadn't ever put herself to work like this before, considering how good at it she seemed to be getting now. Perhaps she'd had more potential than father had given her credit for.
He, on the other hand, was useless. What talent did he have besides fashion, charm, and face stealing? And look where those had gotten him so far; absolutely nowhere. He was still behind both of his siblings, even Luigi. But what could he do about it? He'd never seemed good enough for father...and now he was dead.
I'll just point where to sign you don't have to read or anything.
Did they really think that low of him that he couldn't even read something properly? "I'm sure I can find the dotted lines, sister. After all...it's our job to look after-a Poppa's business. I have to-a pull my weight somehow around-a here."

"Of course amore mio. And I'll make sure that you do a good job, unlike Luigi. That bastard would love to see us both fail." She said leaning over and taking a contract to quickly sign and put her initials on.
"You could be our new spokes person. I don't have time to do most of the add campaigns and the ribbon cuttings. And since you are more of a people person and crowd pleaser than Weegee you'd be perfect for that job. Might spot a few nice faces in the crowd as well."

Pavi's face brightened at the idea, a smile replacing the small frown he'd previously worn. "I believe I like-a the sound of that, sorella. Luigi tends to scare people when he goes out in public, ahehe..."
Thinking to himself for a moment, Pavi suddenly grinned, putting a hand on Amber's shoulder excitedly. "Ooh! We could-a make a line of new commercials. That old jingle we've-a been using is getting old. You could sing a new one! It would be a hit, Amber! And I could do some sort of...attractive slogan or...whatever you do to make-a an advertisement look good."

"That is true.I've been meaning to give Genco a facelift anyway. Dad's stuff was so....old world. And opera? Blech! We need to get with the times, keep up with the trends. Appeal to a broader demographic than just the old costumers." Already Amber was thinking of ways to get the age limit of legal procedures lowered to eleven. Though that would be difficult, but she was sure with enough time and patience it would work out.
"As for singing maybe, ever since we started this job I've had zero chance to practice. I probally wouldn't be able to hold a note." Not that Amber ever could hold a note anyway, but she'd never adimit that. And kill anyone who told her so.

Pavi nodded quickly at this, agreeing wholeheartedly with the need to give the company a makeover. There were so many things they could do...putting aside morals, of course. If they'd kept those pesky things in their mind when coming up with these new ideas, they'd still be faced with major organ failures and ugly people running amok through the streets.
"Perhaps we should work on getting-a those irritating protestors out of sight first," Pavi said, rolling his eyes. "They're holding us-a back more than anything, even dad's old-hat fashion sense." Just this morning there had been a near riot when a group of recent patients had left with animal features into the open crowd outside.

"Oh I'm already taking care of it....quietly. We really don't need any negative attention in the media at the moment." Amber said smirking. "I have some people finding out who the ringleaders are and if they have any weaknesses, buried secrets, or things I could bribe them with. If that doesn't work..." She sighed leaving the rest unsaid.
She would not let her fathers emprie fall under her watch. She'd sell her soul to keep it afloat.

Pavi nodded knowingly, smirking a little at the thought of his sister personally dealing with the protestors. Negative media attention was the exact opposite of what they needed at the moment. There were already rumors starting about more Repo Men being hired...Pavi could only imagine what would happen if that rumor were to have been confirmed.
"What about-a the zydrate support group, or whatever dad called it?" Pavi asked cautiously, knowing that he was probably speaking of a touchy subject for Amber. "I've heard that there are more addicts now-a than ever...and more graverobbers now as well."

"Both are true and I've let it slide..for now. Because some of them are working for me. And unlike dad, I'm turning a profit from them. I allow them to operate without interference in "safety zones" where the authorites have been told not to go. And in return they give me twenty percent of their profit."
And all the free Grade-A zydrate she could have, not that she admitted that out loud. She made an effort to keep up her apperance of kicking her Zydrate habit by not going out for surgeries as often...but rather bringing it to her.

Pavi decided to drop the subject, not really sure how he could respond to his sister's comment. He truly could care less about the zydrate epidemic; his opinion was that if someone was desperate enough for something to steal it from a dead body, then by all means let them have it.
"Have you heard anymore news on-a the Repo Man's daughter?" Pavi asked curiously, raising an eyebrow. "They-a say she's run off somewhere...poor thing. She'll-a probably be hacked up for spare parts, if someone catches her." And what a waste that would be, with such a lovely face, Pavi added to himself, wishing not to speak that aloud. She was still a child...but she didn't look like one, and Pavi had taken notice of it at the night of the opera when he father had been killed.

"That girl was annoying." Amber said not knowing or caring if the girl was sheltered. "If she had any sense she wouldn't have gotten involved with Papa. And he'd probally still be alive. And really running away from home with no money, connections or knowledge of the outside world?" She paused and lit another cigarette.
"Even we're not that stupid. Still she was kind of pretty, in a baby faced way. Pity really she could've made a good Gentern or sales woman with a face like that."

"She could have gotten us money, I won't-a deny that," Pavi nodded. "The fact that Poppa 'cured her,' or at least-a claimed to, was enough to get us a few new patients after-a the opera."
Glancing at his sister's second cigarette, Pavi gave a small frown. "You really shouldn't be smoking like-a that, sister," Pavi said, a gentle scolding to his voice. "Just think; if you die, I'll be stuck here with Luigi all by-a myself. And you know that we're both helpless with all this buisiness stuff."

She blew out some smoke and thought for a moment. What Pavi said was true though. If she didn't take better care of herself she'd follow her father into the grave and GenCo would crumble under Luigi's care. Because let's face it Pavi was not the type to take charge in a stressful situation he was a follower.
"I've put way, way worse in my body than a bit of tobacco. All that Zydrate...But you're right I probally should start thinking about my health and the future."

Pavi nodded, hopping off the desk casually. "I never took-a to that stuff...makes me feel sleepy. But I'd-a hate to see you fall ill, sister." And leave me to do all the boring work, Pavi added silently in his head. He did care for his sister..but he cared for himself more, as they all did with themselves respectively. No time for silly attachments in a world where everyone was out for themselves.
"You should-a think like me, and find something else to put in your body," Pavi said suggestively, a teasing grin on both his faces. "Or, in-a my case, put in somebody else's body...if-a you know what I mean."

"I wish...." Amber groaned putting our her cigeratte. "As nice as that sounds Pavi I don't have time to have sex. Even if there are a few men out there I know I could have." She sighed thinking of the Graverobber, she hadn't seen in months. Amber hoped that he would pop up eventually so she could "pay" him for his last bit of Zydrate he gave her. Sometimes she felt that she'd sleep with him without the Zydrate, but she had to keep her emotions in check when dealing with boys like him.
"Plus, you know any guy who gets involved with me now would probally have a hidden agenda in trying to muscle in on the Geneco fortune. And I am not going to lower myself to get a rentboy....I'm better than that, and why buy what you can get for free?"

Pavi smirked. A teasing thought sprang on the tip of his tongue, but he kept it to himself. Pavi had always had a rather twisted sort of humor, and the temptation to make an incest jib about her and Luigi(again) was great, but he still managed to hold back his tongue. He'd gotten on Amber's good side for the moment; it would be foolish to give it up this soon in the game.
"Maybe I should-a hire some new Genterns for you, then," Pavi smiled. "Male Genterns. I probably wouldn't mind having a few of those around myself," he muttered, chuckling. Pavi normally kept "the other side" of his sexuality to himself, but he had a feeling that his siblings could tell, as obvious as it was. And who cared if Amber were to know? Like she would even give a shit in the first place.
